You Will Need:
Next you can start the dumplings. On every bag of self-rising flour (or every bag I've ever bought) there is a recipe for "self-rising" biscuits, (or 'catheads' as we call them). My dumplings are simply made the same way you would make homemade biscuits going by the recipe on your self-rising flour bag. But if your bag just so happens to NOT have a recipe here is mine:
Finally, drain out about half of the water you used to boil the chicken in and then pour in some chicken broth for the added flavor. Add the meat and the raw 'biscuit' dough to the water and bring to a boil again. Boil it all for about 20-25 minutes (the dumplings will rise to the top of the liquid and float) and then you will have a nice scrumptious pot of chicken and dumplings! Enjoy!
- 4 chicken breasts, boiled till cooked through.
- Self-Rising Flour
- Vegetable Oil
- Milk
- Box of Chicken Broth

- 2-3 well rounded tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup of milk
