Happiness Is..

Being comfortable with who you are. Learning, growing, changing. It's being able to make mistakes and still having friends to accept you and a family to love you. It's not being perfect but enjoying life to it's fullest. It's not having everything material wise but being rich with love from your closest loved ones. It's being patient and trusting in God and having Faith that He has a plan for all of us..all we need is to slow down and wait. Time being on our side is happiness. Shoes on our feet, a roof over our head, food on the table..all that is happiness.

Children are happiness. They're innocent and pure with un-calloused minds. They come into this world after being incubated nearly ten months and know how to breathe and blink and cry and feed and etcetera. That is a miracle..it truly is, every part of a baby..their little fingers, toes, eyes ears..were all made by the Almighty. They're beautiful, sweet, forgiving and trusting. Watching them grow and change over the years is utterly unbelievable. Happiness is their first words, first steps..learning new things and trying new things. Happiness is knowing that you have created a part of yourself and the one you love ever so greatly and watching your heart walk around outside your body.

God is happiness. He's there when nobody else is. He lends ears to listen and mercy to forgive those who are truly asking for His kindness. He knows what each and every life will lead to, who we are meant to be and what we are meant to do. He is an awesome God and works very mysteriously. You never know what He will surprise you with next. He will never leave you, only you can leave Him. He gives you strength when you are weak and courage when you are scared. Most of all he gives you comfort in times of need.

Lastly happiness is something you choose to be, you can't 'just be'. When you wake up in the morning you make the decision to either be happy or miserable. Life is too short to choose to be anything but happy. Hard times and struggles will present themselves but that's why we have a loving family and friends to fall back on. Acceptance is the greatest difficulty for a lot of people. We all make mistakes and we can't be what we all want each other to be. But we can be graceful and humble and understand that we were all raised differently and we all present different stories from our past and our life. But your past doesn't define you, YOU do. We walk through this imperfect world flawed and with our battle scars..but the scars show that we've healed and learned our lessons. Happiness, simply is..happiness. And emotion we all know and love and never want it to leave.
