No, this is not a recipe for a food to feed your dog ;) You may have eaten this before because you can find the recipe on the side of a chex cereal box and there it is referred to as "Muddy Buddies". This was another recipe from my Aunt Jane's scrapbook and it makes a great snack for in between meals or if you need a quick chocolate fix! The best part is that it's super simple to make and kids love 'em!
You Will Need:
Combine Chocolate Chips, peanut butter and butter in a one quart microwavable bowl.
Microwave 1-1.5 minutes stirring after one minute.
Stir in the vanilla.
Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and mix until well coated.
Pour cereal into a LARGE resealable bag with the powdered sugar.
Seal and shake until well coated.
Spread on wax paper to cool.
- 9 cups Chex Cereal (I used Rice Chex)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups powdered sugar
