Wowzers!

35 Comments on my last post. 35. I am flooded with love! Thanks for all of you who thought my "drops" project was cool! Like I said in the post I'd LOVEE to see your photos if you try it so don't be too shy to leave your link in a comment so I can come see! I also forgot to mention my settings I used for the shot, so I'll briefly explain that. I had my 28-85mm macro lens with aperture set to 4.5 (if you set it to 5-6-7-8 your WHOLE photo and droplets will be crisp instead of one area so the "higher" your aperture number (5-6-7) the "sharper" your photo will be. My shutter was around 1/80 and I had on my external flash and since I was bent over taking the shot of my disc laying on my table I had a white piece of paper to bounce the flash off of (which helped with the vibrant coloring in the disc). So I hope that helps and it's clearer than mud :)

Onto it! Thanks to Brooke over at My [Boys]terous Life I found another cute and fun project to do tonight. Go here to check hers out! Like it lists on her instructions all you need is a Bible, a flashlight and a wedding ring. Set up your shot (with the lights out of course) and the shadow of the ring reflects a heart onto the bible! I loved it. I decided to use this shot (which was my favorite out of the set) for my entry into Allie's Happy Monday theme "Jewelry" and Mellow Yellow Monday for the yellow tones in the edit I used.

Here's another shot with my aperture set all the way down to 1.8. I find more and more lately I like my aperture between 2.8 and 4, but for some things 1.8 really is the handy f stop to have ;)

Have a great week my friends!!
