Best Weeked Ever!

Hello all! I am back on the blog scene! ;) But not after spending most of the day editing the photos that were taken from Friday until now. That was a J-O-B! I had a family shoot Friday as I mentioned in my last post with a five-person family and it came out spectacularly. I finished up the last of those photos this morning...then I started on my personal ones but first I'll let you know what all our weekend consisted of!

Saturday we got to spend the WHOLE day in a (kind've) nearby city that has lots more to do than ours. Our neighbor took Dillon at 9 AM that morning and kept him till about 4 then my Mom went up there and got him and kept him from 4 that evening till 8AM the next day. We spent like 15 hours in Evansville (IN). First we ate brunch and headed for the Eastland Mall...

...where we spend like 4-5 hours. My hubby bought me a few outfits and we found Dillon some cowboy boots we've been lookin for, for a while! They are sooo cute! They suit him so well too!

Next we caught the 4:15 movie at Showplace Cinema..

...if you've ever seen any of the Fast & Furious movies then you would've loved Fast Five. It was about 2.5 hours long and was a greattt movie(/sequal) to the ones that came before. After that we headed to a new favorite place of mine, Walther's Golf and Fun. It's the second time we've been there, but had more time this time. They have an 18 hole indoor AND outdoor mini golf course and lazer tag, which we did all three, plus a Cafe inside where you can eat pizza and cheesy bread, a huge arcade and a play place for small kids. We spent like 3 hours there (sorry, I didn't bring my camera in here!).

After they closed at 11 we made our way towards home and stopped off at a Walmart in Henderson to get my Mom's Mother's Day gift (a complete outfit-capris, shirt and shoes) and then finally pulled in the driveway at about 2:30 AM. We haven't been out together alone since before Halloween last year and it was much needed and long-awaited! I can truly say I fell in love all over again with my husband! He's my soulmate & best friend, that's for sure!

Then Sunday brought more fun our way. We did our weekely grocery trip and then came home where my husband grilled hamburgers and hot dogs for me and my Mother and well all of us for Mother's Day. We just so happened to pick up a Slip 'N Slide from Walmart and after we all ate and digested (of course..better safe than sorry!) Jon and Clay set up the slide then got out some of my Dad's black plastic out of his barn which is about 100 foot long and extended the length of the slide by..well..100 feet!

They then rigged two waterhoses to make sure it stayed wet at all times and poured a little dish detergent on the plastic and we had the BEST time sliding down the hill! The kids even joined in! Dillon was the bravest of us all..he would go down backwards, upside down, bare belly..etc!

My Nephew and Neice were out for a visit and they joined in too. Colton and Emily kept drinking the water then Addy and Dillon had to try!

[My Husband!] Thought this capture was really neat as he hit the little pool of water at the end of the Slide!

Addy wouldn't slide by herself so her Daddy took her down (this is my husband's brother) and they were actually sliding preety fast when I took this-see her hair blowing? Which is why I'm so surprised I even caught it lol!
That was my Monday Rewind! Hehe! Sorry it was so long!

Good To Wow-Mother's Day
This shot was from a shoot I did for a friend last Friday. This was one of those shots where we were between poses and I happened to capture this expression which I LOVEEEEE. You can see the love in her face as she admires her middle son, it really warms my heart! Plus her oldest dauther is smiling her sweet little smile and youngest has the cutest expression with his little baseball I gave him! I thought it fit perfectly for both prompts...and I love it SOOC!

You definitely have a talent for photography! Your action shots are so crisp!! I love the first shot of Dillon on the slip n slide, the angle makes it look like he's dropping straight down!
